Vocalist, composer, arranger, voice-over actor Désirée Goyette (www.lightchild.com) is probably best known for her musical contributions to the Charlie Brown and Garfield the Cat television shows. Over the course of ten years, Desiree and her fellow Grammy-nominated partner Ed Bogas co-wrote music for over one-hundred TV episodes and specials.Desiree received two Grammy nominations for her creative contributions to the Disney Records’ release titled FLASHBEAGLE, and the CBS/Epic recording HERE COMES GARFIELD. Désirée’s vocal artistry can be heard on various motion picture soundtracks and trailers including: Spykids, The Mimic, Forces of Nature, Night Falls, High Crimes, Little Mermaid II, Hellboy, Ghostwriter, the remake of Casino Royale and Pirates of the Caribbean IV. A magna cum laude graduate of The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Désirée enjoys writing and recording original musical works, creating and performing in a variety of cabaret productions, guest soloing at the “Mother Church”, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston. Most especially, Desiree enjoys mothering her twin ten-year old children!

Featured Summit Musician: Alex Cook

Alex Cook is a musician, muralist, and educator. He has written and produced 5 cds of original spiritual music including his 2012 release “Arrival”. He has created over 100 murals in the US and abroad. In 2004 he founded Art Builds Community, a mural painting program for teenagers. Since 2007 he has served as a chaplain in the Nashua Street Jail in Boston, MA. Alex loves to organize events in which people create sculptures or murals as a means of revealing the spiritual character of creativity and community. He spends his time touring the US, performing music, painting murals, and teaching a spiritual approach to creativity.
